No, this isn’t the beginning to a Bill Maplewood post……..it’s about the Royal’s and the rest of their season.

Took 2 of 3 in Chicago to start the road trip and improved the overall record to 13-20. Next up is a two game slate in Texas before returning home to face the surprising O’s, followed by our first taste of NL play against Arizona.
Since it’s an off night let’s take a quick look at the state of the Royals. 11-19 is where we currently stand. I thought it would be more like 14-16 at this early point in the season but we hit a rough patch early on.

Huge win yesterday against Verlander and the Tigers! Although we didn’t technically slay the giant we still got the win while he was on the hill. Now it’s time to get off to a nice start during this 7 game homestand against the two AL East giants (New York and Boston). “I sure hope anyone at the game today made it in to see Hochevar pull a Hochevar in the first. This is the cleveland f*cking indians not the 1956 yankees. What is this guy’s deal? He may be the most bipolar pitcher in baseball history. It is literally feast or famine, nothing in between.”
The Royals made some surprise moves today ending the competition at second base by sending Giavotella to the Minors. Looks like Getz and Betancourt will be sharing duties at second and chances are Betancourt will see the lions share of playing time.
