With the off-season for the Kansas City Chiefs just mere hours away, it’s time to start focusing on the 2013-14 season. As crazy as it sounds, I believe the Chiefs are an attractive job due to the fact that there is a lot of talent on this football team. It’s a ‘comfortable’ position for a new coach given they will likely end up just 2-14 (can only go up from here). So, what’s the top priority? 1) Head Coach 2) Quarterback.
First off, my thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Kansas City Chiefs family…specifically, the families of the victims. And, although it seems rather insignificant at this time, I’ll attempt to break down the Alabama vs Notre Dame BCS National Championship. After all, sport always seems to have a unique way to assist in the healing and mourning process.
There is no denying the fact that Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide were a very popular preseason choice to play the finale in Miami. However, the same can not be said for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. An emotional season for the Fighting Irish and star linebacker Manti Te’o will conclude with a chance to take home the BCS National Championship trophy…who would have thought? Let’s break it down!
I know we all woke up this morning saying screw Mr. MunsonMatt Cassel for throwing that interception in overtime. Well forget about that one play from a guy who will probably not be on this team next year and focus on the other players that will be on this team next year…
Brady Quinn will be the starting quarterback this Sunday in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers. Everyone is stoked to the bone about this because its not Matt Cassel but its not all cupcakes and unicorns yet…
0-2 Chiefs are headed down to Nawlins to battle the 0-2 Saints to see which team gets their first win this season. Neither team’s defense is worth a shit right now. Brees is a better QB than Cassel is so you’d have to say the Saints should win this game on their home field. To get a win, Chiefs fans should pray that the defense shows up, makes the Saints punt, or causes turnovers. If that doesn’t happen then there is no chance for this Chiefs team because Cassel and the running game can’t beat Brees’s throwing game. Go Chiefsss!
All the diarrhea of the mouth people that believe an NFL team must draft a first round quarterback to win a Super Bowl or believe Cassel can’t go to a Super Bowl because of arm strength this is for you. In addition this will prove to all the Matt Cassel haters that Cassel can get the Chiefs a playoff win or take them to a Super Bowl.
