We are almost exactly one month away from Mizzou’s epic SEC showdown against Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday Night September 8th…
Practice has started for both teams, but only suspensions have started for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Mizzou has had positive reports come out of their practices especially with Tiger’s quarterback Franklin. Franklin is showing good zip on the ball and seems to have not lost a step from last year.
Even Josey, Mizzou’s best running back who blew his knee out last year, is looking damn good and feels good. Pinkel wants to red shirt Josey but Josey wants to play this year. If Josey is healthy and looks good then I hope Pinkel plays the guy.
Elvis is back in the building too. Elvis Fischer, Mizzou’s starting left tackle, is back from injury and is ready to rock. Mizzou’s entire offensive line has added on average a total of 10 pounds per guy. Adding 50 pounds to play against these SEC defensive lines is a good move for the Tigers, lets hope it pays off.
DGB, the #1 recruit in the country, is learning the college game and looks damn good doing it too. DGB should learn enough in the next month to be impact player against the Bulldogs.
As for Georgia Bulldogs, there doesn’t seem to be much news coming out of their practices other then the status of their suspended defensive players. The Bulldogs just received good news that their cornerback Branden Smith wasn’t smoking pot, he was just possessing herbage so he is allowed play against Mizzou. That means Georgia will only have 2 starting defensive players out against Mizzou but every little bit helps.
