KU has scheduled Colorado Buffaloes for a non conference game in football for the next 2 years. The two colleges will play one game in Boulder and one game in Larrytown.
Jayhawks said they wouldn’t play Mizzou for leaving the Big 12, well correct if I’m wrong but didn’t Colorado leave the Big 12? So KU can play some teams that leave the Big 12, but won’t play Mizzou who left the Big 12??? Hypocrisy much???
Lets face it, KU knows they’ll get smoked in football so they can’t play Mizzou in that and as for basketball Jayhawks must be afraid they might lose to Tigers in bball too. If KU lost to MU in basketball, Larrytown would be declared a national disaster area from all the crying and bloody butts of blaming the refs for the lost to Mizzou. KU must not want to run the risk of having those headlines spread across America so Jayhawks are officially the ones that have killed this 100+ year old rivalry.
Is it just me, or are Mizzou fans starting to act more and more like Kansas basketball fans since moving to the SEC. I’m sure I don’t need to remind anyone that Mizzou has never really done much of anything serious in either big college sport, yet all these guys are just bashing away at everything they can think of. At least Kansas basketball fans, who are the worst of all time, can say they are behind a big-time program and have some titles to point to. I got no skin in the game, being a Kstate myself. Just making an observation that evidently having a big television market entitles you to walk a little taller.

I work on site in Lawrence and I think Lawrence is a very nice town. I mean, once you get passed the ‘train-hoppers,’ schitzos, white trash, hippies, homeless, street performers, ALL of north lawrence, and hookers (I guess they would be classified under the north lawrence category). I agree with MIZIEFS, this is kind of the definition of a bitch move, but oh well…we will make millions and millions off football and not worry about playing KU in bball.

no such thing as a school named stillwell.. also, since when do stars matter? if you know recruiting, a kid with 3 stars can be just as good or better than a 5 star.. i can think of numerous 2 star players that went to mizzou that are now in the NFL.. but then again i dont expect ku fans to understand football recruiting

Bill Self boxed KU into the position they are in today with Mizzou. In about 5 years KU and MU will play again – by then the KU butthurt will have subsided. KU is acting like a jilted woman in a divorce proceeding – it’s all about feelings. The bottom line is KU is only hurting themselves financially by not playing MU.
I guess mu looks pretty smart in leaving a conference they really didn’t need to. Would have loved to have heard Alden’s reaction to the SEC-Big 12 bowl and all the programs bigger than mizwho about to get in. “But….but..I thought…needed..to..leave..big 12?” Remember he had no vote in that matter as mu is not official until July 1.
Also, cannot wait for the rest of SEC country to visit Columbia and see all the dandies out there tailgating.
