Busy morning w/ Dayton Moore and the Royals. The GM was on 610 sports this morning and flat out said Giovatella is on his way up and that a “move” is going to be made. Looks like Getz might be traded? Who would we get in return? Is this the right thing to do considering Getz’s good start to the season? Stay tuned as this thing is going to break at some point today.

any teams out there have a 2B go down with injury lately who’d be willing to pay higher than market value for a light hitting journeyman second baseman?

Getz alone won’t command a starting pitcher worth anything. If we get a starter (assuming the trade goes down) it will be another Mazzaro or O’Sullivan type guy that isn’t worth a damn.
If a trade does happen, don’t be surprised if it leaves you scratching your head. I think we just want to dump Getz (even though he’s playing the best baseball of his career) just to make room for Johnny G.
