Brady Quinn will be the starting quarterback this Sunday in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers. Everyone is stoked to the bone about this because its not Matt Cassel but its not all cupcakes and unicorns yet…

-I’m a Notre Dame fan so I jizzed ever Saturday to Brady while he led the Irish to some great football seasons. I wanted Quinn to be a Chief on draft day and was yelling at the TV for him to fall to the Chiefs but unfortunately or fortunately he didn’t, we’ll see….
-What I learned watching him while playing for the Irish is Brady has good arm strength, can run the ball, is strong (huh obviously, bicepcity), can see a field, sometimes tries to hard to make a play when nothing is there, and has average-good accuracy. If there is a flaw in Brady’s game it is his accuracy which can be a huge fucking flaw.
-I know we all can’t think back to training camp or preseason because are faces have been deepthroated by the Chiefs and Matt Cassel with crap football. Before that crap football from Matt Cassel, Cassel had won the job handily in training camp. Don’t let any media outlet (KCStar, 610, 810 whatever) fool you, which most were admitting yesterday, that Cassel was the better QB in training camp by far. Coaches and analysts were all over Quinn for holding ball to long, not being accurate, and not being better then Stanzi when he knows Dabol’s system. The last 2 preseason games Brady made strides and Stanzi blew chunks hard so at least Brady got better as time went on and won 2nd string easily.
-Now that we got that out of the way, people need to get the realization (coughSteven St. John) that Brady could choke just as bad as Cassel has this season. There is no guarantee this Kurt Warner or Rich Gannon coming in so save the Chiefs. The rest of the Chiefs team needs to save themselves.
-In order for Chiefs to make MyIrishDreamBoat the next Rich/Kurt our Oline needs to start blocking better (Coach and AWest have thrown the Oline under the bus on numerous occasions for sucking it up). Wide receivers need to quit dropping balls and letting them float/pop into the defenders hands. Running backs need to quit fumbling the ball and yes that is directed to you Jamal also. The defense must never play like they did against Falcons/Bills ever again. The defens must play like they did against parts of the Chargers game, Saints second half, and the entire Ravens game.
-All that is a tall order, but if the team doesn’t play well around you then even elite QBs can’t win. I asked my boy from Pittsburgh this morning, why his elite QB Big Ben can’t win games right now. He says, “Our Oline has injuries and sucks, running game blows, and our conerbacks are making our defense suck” When I asked my boy who is a Pack fan why is elite Rogers losing games, “Our fucking Oline sucks and we have no running game but the defense is doing pretty good”. I don’t have boys in New Orleans but analysts say elite Brees is losing because he has no defense at all. Yall getting the picture here that elite QBs can’t win when the players around them aren’t doing their jobs. Even if we have an elite QB right now Chiefs would not be winning because of the Chiefs shit written above.
-Quinn must not turn the ball over either and make the most of the few passes he’ll get this game. Daboll (maybe Quinn) have to take advantage of the right opportunities to throw the ball. Defenses will load the box with 8-9 to stop Jamal. At that point they better look to do a play action, boot leg, or quick out pass. Chiefs did not do a good job of this in the second half against the Ravens. Bucs have weak cornerbacks and Chiefs must take shots to exploit them.
-If Quinn wins against the Bucs he should still be Chiefs starting QB for the Chiefs next game. Even if HotBrady fumbles twice and throws 2 picks but finds a way to win then start him the next week. If a QB wins ugly don’t stop that team MOJO by letting a controversy seep into the locker room. If Brady rolls then the whole Chiefs team including Cassel/Romeo should keep dropping Quinn beans until the party stops!
-Damn, with all that said Chiefs can win this son of a bitch this week in MotherFuckin Tampaaaahhh (shit Hasselbeck fucked the Steelers last night) and get the Chiefs rolling in the right direction. Chiefs win 20-17!
I hope Crennel and Daboll pass the ball. Tampa ranks 30th against the pass and everyone knows we are going to try and run the ball with a back up QB and JC in the back feild.
