KC Hits An All Star Home Run

KC all star

All the worries about KC looking crappy to the public because Kauffman Stadium isn’t in our downtown, Kauffman is next to a crappy Drury Inn and Taco Bell, KC weather is to hot, KC is too small market, KC is trashy, KC has no night life, KC is flyover country, KC is too spread out, KC roads suck, KC’s airport is too small, and KC just sucks at everything never came true.

The Future’s game had the largest crowd ever.  The MLB Fanfest festivities had one of the largest attendance ever.  The Red Carpet Walk around the Plaza displayed KC awesomely. Kauffman stadium looked tits to everyone and the traveling to and from wherever in KC went great for everyone.  The All Star game went great, but the game was a blowout so it wasn’t all that entertaining.  And The Home Run Derby was easily the most entertaining, headline grabbing, enthusiastic, and funny derbies ever (Boooooo, Billyeeee Butlerrrrr)!

According to MLB KC was one of the best cities ever to host the All Star Game.

After dominating the All-Star Game and seeing Indianapolis host a Super Bowl without disaster its too bad people didn’t vote for the rolling roof so KC could host a Super Bowl.  But then again KC never does anything right so its probably best we don’t host a Super Bowl…

Yeah my comment was based on the fact that we would have a closed roof stadium. The hotel issue could be solved with major convention style hotels getting financed and built here. But that has kind of passed us by and we’ll be playing catch up to other cities for a long time.

I partied hard both nights and stumbled home. This will be the last time we have an All-Star game unless we build a downtown ballpark.

We need the Cerner guys to buy the team and we’ll be in business!

Glad that our city did it right. However Cheeese, we would literally have to triple our hotel space before being considered for a Super Bowl. Would be pretty cool, but that will probably take decades.
