The Big XII basketball tournament will be making it rain on Kansas City this year gangsta style…
The Super Bowl economic boost is worth around 150 million to a city and a baseball All-Star game is worth around 60 million so what does everyone think a Big XII tournament boost will be to KC?
The Big XII tournament brings an economic boost of 14 million to KC. That is a nice little purse for the house city, but it’s peanuts compared to some of the other sporting events that take place in U.S. cities. I bet the guy above can rake in 14 million in a year peddling guitars and stiletto knives. Hopefully majority of the 14 million will be going to the downtown developments so the Missouri tax payers don’t have to keep picking up the bill…

The city that has hosted the final four the most…Kansas City, 10 times. Sure would like to see that come back some day but doubt it.
Should have approved the rolling roof…Final 4 was cummin back to KC…
Call me crazy but I don’t think Final Four games should be played in football stadiums. I know it’s all about the money n tickets sales
Yet, Missouri left the conference, leaving the tournament in limbo in Kansas City…what would we do without your generosity?
No worries Bill Self and Kevin Keitzman are working on kicking Missouri out of Missouri so it will be only a KU and Kstate town for the tournament. Oh yeah if Mizzou sucks enough SEC dick they might get the SEC bball tourney in KC…LOL
