Kansas State Jumps to #5

It’s not everyday that beating KU will jump you two spots in the top 10, but with 3 of the top 5 teams in football losing Saturday the stage was set. Kats weathered a first half charge from KU and went into halftime only up a touchdown after letting the clock expire on KU’s 1 yard line. This wasn’t very Bill Snyder-esque, but the team came out in the second half and outscored Kansas 35-2. Chock up another sunflower showdown assp whooping for the farm boys behind running back John Hubert’s 4 touchdowns… KState did well not to lose focus in this “trap” game and were rewarded in the polls.

KSU moves to #5 in the nation, yes yes, not just california. (#Lebowski). HOWEVER! West Virginia was able to overcome Texas and subsequently jumped the cats in the polls to #4. Kansas State needs to come home clean after a visit to Iowa State on Saturday and then we are going to have a HUGE matchup the following week at West Virginia with what is shaping up to be a shootout between the #4 & #5 teams in the nation! Hold on to your seats Manhattan, this is season is getting good. DON’T LOOK PAST IOWA STATE.

Never thought Mizzou football fans would fall into the Gayhawks sports camp this season

What do you mean? You’re not sticking by your word that the tigers would have a good chance of winning the east?

I started freaking out before the Vanderbilt loss. Before that loss my view was to end up in the same boat as Tennessee and not Vandy & Kentucky. SEC East has already taken over the power minus Bama. Mizzou came in at the wrong time. Non the less next year if Mizzou rights the QB situation they can be in the middle of the pack of the East.

          SEC East is fuckin hard!

So fix the QB and all things solved? To me it looks like they’re getting beat up front also. All we heard was MU is coming in at the “right” time because some of the powers (Florida) were down, and programs like SC & Georgia usually under-perform. Just don’t think there’s a right or wrong time to enter into this conference.

This will be Iowa States National Championship. Cyclones always get 1 big upset every year. Hope K-State doesn’t fall asleep at the wheel.

Concur. This might be the biggest game of the season for KState. We must come out stronger in the first half. Bill better have the boys ready cuz we are going to get ISU’s “A” game like you said. And they have some confidence after beating TCU last weekend, albeit with an imprisoned QB
