I dropped a decent amount of monopoly money on this guy in a keeper league and have been very disappointed. When he connects he has had a little power this year, but those connections are few and far between. Guy is way below the Mendoza line and seems to be headed even further south. Is it possible he’ll get sent down to AAA? We’re halfway through May and he’s batting .181 with 5 HR. Since I don’t live in KC, I wanted to hear some thoughts about what you have seen and what you’re thoughts are. If he’s still around .200 a month from now, how do you keep him in the lineup. We’ve got Trumbo on our bench who isn’t an everyday player and I’m thinking about taking Hosmer out.
At least B. Butler, who is on our squad as well, is having a nice year so far

Absolutely NO chance he gets sent down. Perhaps a drop in the line up would be suffice, but this guy should be hitting about .270 right now (not great, but wayyyy better than .180). He’s the best hitter on this team other than Billy Butler, and is a sure bet to turn it around. I have him finishing around .265 with 23 home runs.
Seitzer is the perfect guy to get him turned around, but it’s going to take a commitment from Hosmer. He is casting his hands, and coming around any and every pitch. If it’s on the inside corner he’s getting jammed or swinging and missing because he’s unable to get the fat part of the bat on the ball with his current approach. However, he’ll be just fine.
Lineups are in…..just noticed they dropped him to 6th. Good move Ned.
