well, it looks like our worst fears have come true. Danny Duffy has been diagnosed with a torn ligament in his throwing elbow. He will miss the rest of the season and possibly some of 2013. This is a huge blow to a team that has already seen it’s share of misfortune this season. Our starting rotation is starting to look like a who’s who of lifetime AAAA starters. Our young guys in Omaha and NW Ark don’t look to be ready yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Odorizzi get a shot sometime soon.
D’oh! Cheeeeese beat me to the punch.
Let’s use this post to talk about possible rotation replacements from the minor league system or elsewhere.

I think you’ll see Crow in the rotation soon….Give it a bad outing or two by one of the fill in starters and it’s lights out.
Rotation will shake out as follows:
Chen
Somebody else (Mazzaro, Teaford, Adcock or Sanchez)
Paulino
Hochevar
Mendoza
Remember that this was a six man battle coming into Spring Training so basically we are replacing Duffy with Mendoza and working with what we thought we would have in the first place.
Sanchez is going to have to be the one who steps up and fills the gap of losing Duffy. Easier said than done.
I don’t think Crowe is going to be in the mix. He didn’t do too well as a starter in AAA and that is why he started his MLB career in the pen. Yost really likes him in that role so don’t expect him to be in the rotation any time soon.
Damn you Arrowhead West lay off my shit! hahaha, this is a big enough headline it needs 2 posts on it, good work…
I need a rotation breakdown of what are pitching staff should look like…
Chen
Hochevar
Sanchez
Paulino
Mendoza
Crow?
Saw this on twitter per kurtis seaboldt(810whb) pretty good stat
@KSeaboldt: Since start of 2010, Bruce Chen is 26-19 (.578) with an ERA of 4.03. Rest of the team is 126-187 (.403) with an ERA of 5.14.
