Cold Blooded

cold blooded

The national headline from the game is Chiefs fans cheer Cassel’s injury and Eric Winston rips fans. The Chiefs fan next to me put it best…”Cheering your own team’s injuries? Damn this Chiefs fans have gone cold-blooded”

Enough of this drama shit. Lets talk about the winners and losers of this game.

WINNERS

-Baltimore Ravens- They won

-Chiefs Defense especially Houston, Hali, and Flowers

-Jamaal Charles (may not have been but his fumbled was recovered)

-Brady Quinn- Gets another shot at being a starter in the NFL. My hot Irish boy will finally get a shot. Lets turn this puppy around.

LOSERS

-Matt Cassel- He was injured and fumbled on the 1 yard line (horrible fuckin play call even though it has worked majority of the season, use your running backs that’s what they are there for)

-Dwayne Bowe- Dropped 2 passes that caused 2 interceptions

-Cyrus Gray- Fumbled the ball

-Brian Daboll- Too conservative play calling but it doesn’t help when your QB isn’t good and receivers drop balls.

-Romeo Crennel- He was the losing coach

-Chiefs fans- Look like idiots nationally for cheering own players injury. Don’t let Bob Fescoe fool you. People cheered loud when people noticed Cassel was knocked out.

-Eric Winston- Pissed off KC Chiefs fans

-The Fucking Referees. 2 TDs called back in 1 game plus numerous other questionable calls that went against Chiefs. You got to be kidding me. Please bring back the replacements!

Who did I miss? What do yall think?

Eric Winston is a pussy. I wasn’t at the game and I didn’t watch the game, but did watch a You Tube replay and heard audio on 980 and I didn’t hear an audible cheer. I’m sure there were a couple examples of RAYTOWNFAN clapping or cheering around Cheeese or other people at the game, but that doesn’t mean there was a coordinated cheer of 20,000! Forget his 70K, no way there wer 20K cheering, that would be bigger than the entire Sprint Center and there is no way that many people cheered. Bottom line, Eric Winston is a pussy.

Sorry brah but facts are facts for the people that were there. 10-20,000 NKC people would be my guess erupted after the play when they saw it was Cassel on the ground.

I always watch game film after going to the game to grade the players and see what I missed. The TV didn’t pick up any noise or show anything of the Cassel injury that we experienced in the stadium. It was big enough every person in that stadium recognized it and commented on it as it happened. If it was nothing fights wouldn’t have broke out over it. It sucks being the Chiefs guy who never misses a game and travels to other cities with the team to admit this shit really did take place. Winston sticking up for his QB and calling out the fan base is a whole other topic which I see both sides.

      • For the record, i was standing 2 seats away from cheese at the game and we have completely differing accounts on this. “facts are facts” hahahaha.
i think the guy standing next to cheese mentioned that a couple guys in the row in front of us were cheering the injury, so i guess that qualifies him to extrapolate that number to at least 20k.

Arrowhead West was passed out on a zannie bar and whiskey shots, he doesnt remember shit…we had a third party and he concurred that fact is a fact fhe fans went out of line at cheering a chiefs injury

          • Actually, i was hallucinating from all the Skoal bandits that i bummed from cheeeeeese.

            • Diet Pepsi says:

Yeah, Sorry Cheeeese, I’ve talked to people at the game too and they completely disagree with you. So your facts are facts in the way that David Axelrod’s facts are facts. Here is the fact: You are a die-hard homer and you have a very gay boner for Cassel, so you and Winston have a lot in common there. You are in the nerd herd with Cassell, Winston, and K-Boss.

Winston’s a drama queen and he owes the fans a public apology. I heard this morning on 810 that he, Cassel and Kevin Boss are boys. His BFF, Boss, suffered a serious concussion already and I bet Winston would not have reacted so intense if Cassel would have hurt his hand. The fact is, nobody in the stadium knew what the injury was at the time, it was not a vicious hit and there was no indication he had a serious head injury (Like Boss). Had fans seen Cassel unconscious after a helmet to helmet with Ray Lewis, I don’t think there would have been any cheering at all.

The other fact is that these guys make millions and signed up to play a violent sport. Message to Winston: Grow some thicker skin and leave your extra anger and energy on the field. Maybe this will fuel you to be a leader in the locker room and get this team back on track. Winning cures all wounds. Must win at Tampa, Bye week, then we turn it on and sweep the division!

I think Winston made an excellent point. The only point he screwed up on was his number, he should have said 20,000 people not 70,000. This is a GAME and nobody should cheer when a person is knocked out on the field and that is what happened. There was a clear cheer when Cassel was laid out on the field. People maybe had different intentions on their minds when cheering but some fans did cheer while Cassel was motionless on the field and that was beyond classless. I know I would want my bash bro to stick up for me if I was knocked out on the bball court…

I think Mellinger said it best

“+ Brady Quinn stinks as a quarterback, and I feel confident in saying that because as I wrote in Sunday’s column he’s played behind Derek Anderson, Charlie Frye, Ken Dorsey, Bruce Gradkowski, Tim Tebow and Kyle Orton in his career.”

  4. Lin Elliott's Right Foot says:

Winston might be frustrated with the fact that he pushed his guy right into Cassel and caused his guy to sandwich Cassel with Ngata. Winston and his butt cutt can go sit on a broom handle. I love how athletes don’t openly comment about their dumbass coach or the fact that their GM doesn’t know how to build a deep football team, but they’ll talk about the lowest common denominator of a fanbase for booing an injury. Don’t get me wrong, I thought it was pretty sick that people were booing Cassel, but Winston had no right to talk about it on TV. What’s he trying to do? Tear this team from it’s fanbase even more? Maybe the team should make him go down into Pioli’s lair after the game so they can both hide from the media. I personally think the team should fine his fat ass. He’d get fined if he said something that bad about RAC or Fat Fuck Pioli. Why shouldn’t he get fined for saying something about the people who write his checks? His comments also make us look bad on a national level. Again, I think KC fans that did boo are in the wrong, but if Butt Cut doesn’t comment about it, no one would have noticed or done anything. He needs to keep his mouth shut. Teams fine their players all the time for the stupid shit they say on Twitter or Facebook, is this any different?

On a different note, if Cassel doesn’t play this week and we go to Tampa and win or almost win, then Cassel should sit the rest of the year. If RAC puts him back in after Quinn playes well, I’m done with this shit storm of a football franchine until Pioli is gone.

    I LOVE MONDAYS!!!!

  5. Man the Chiefs are fucked. The fans hate ownership, Pioli and now even some of the players (Winston). The coach is an idiot and doesn’t know how to “manage” a football game. Why in the world didn’t he let Succop try that FG at the end of the half? Cassel is finally fully exposed as a giant piece of shit QB. Worst in the NFL without a doubt. He alone has more turnovers than any other TEAM in the entire NFL. And to top it all off we are 1-4 and the season still has 11 games left. I guess the only good news from the weekend is everyone else in the AFC West lost. Not that it matters.

    • Cheeeeeeeeeese says:

The Cassel ride has been fun especially watching u cry and bitch evwry weekend especially when he went 10-6 and went to the pro bpwl…now my Irish pretty boy will get a shot…haha…cant wait to here u cry over him…this is going to be fun…ur check is on the mail…lets go chiefsss!!!

  6. the man says:

The only winner on Sunday was the defense. Holding a good Ravens offense to zero TD’s is pretty good.

All the other crap was a result of a loyal fanbase venting its frustration. Sam Mellinger’s column was right on when saying the Chiefs franchise, team and fanbase have hit rock bottom everywhere you look.

Winston is right and I would never want to see cheering for an injured player. Hopefully Cassel doesn’t have a long term injury. However, I could care less what Winston says. He’s been a star athlete his whole life – big time recruit, full scholarship to U of Miami, and NFL starter. This doesn’t give you some damn pedestal to call a fanbase “embarrassing”. This is one of the most long-standing loyal fanbases in the NFL and Eric, sorry to break it to you, but your batshit crazy, a-hole boss is the one that has created this shit-show we now call Chiefs games. Oh and not to mention, you and your teamates ain’t gettin’ it done. $343,750 will be Winston’s game check for this week based on his $5.5 million salary. Sorry Eric, take your “Roman Coliseum” soapbox elsewhere.

  7. I disagree cheese, i know the fans were cheering when Cassel went down, but i hardly think it was because people were happy with the injury. I think it was a collective relief that we would finally see someone else under center. It was apparent that no matter how bad cassel played, they weren’t going to sit him. He was cheered when he got up and left the field.
Now of course the national media vultures will grab on to this and villainize the kc fans again without even trying to understand where we’re coming from.
