Broxton Traded

The Royals pulled the trigger just before the trade deadline and dealt righty closer Jonathan Broxton to the Reds for a Minor Leaguer.  See this link from the Kansas City Star for more information.

With the Royals season tanking in utter disgrace the move made sense.  Broxton is going to be a free agent at the end of this year and chances are the Royals weren’t going to resign him anyway.  Not too mention a “closer” is of no need on this team.  The funny part of the article is how they are lining up Crowe and/or Holland to be next in line for the closer job.

  1. Personally, i like the trade. We were able to get a couple of potential major league pieces that are close to being able to contribute for a guy that is always on the verge of giving up 4 runs an inning. I dont think the bullpen misses a beat without fatty. Sulbaroon could possibly be a part of our starting rotationby next year and joseph will likely be on the big league club by the end of this season.

    They’re still shitty

  2. Somethings in life are truly unexplainable Stang. To answer your question very short and to the point:

Ownership and Management are the problem in my opinion but the long answer would take an entire post that I’m too depressed to delve into at the moments.

I personally am enjoying the shit out of the Olympics right now and I’m glad it came during the darkest of Royals time to keep me off he proverbial edge.

It stings twice as bad when you actually have expectations for the Royals. Go to hell Glass family unless you go buy some kickass pitching and fix other problems with team.

there have been some pretty big trades today and the Royals crap themselves but they have nothing really to trade with….because they love their young talent blah, blah, blah

i ask you this KC Mullet who are the kc royals? How can Cincy, Pitt, Washington, Balt, Marlins(yrs past) turn teams into winners but this task is impossible in KC…Oakland is above 500!!!! explain that
