Kansas City is feeling good right now! Royals are in first place in the Central Division after beating murder capital Deeeriot Tigers yesterday afternoon. The Chiefs made the day even better by drafting a stud offensive line Fisher. Things are looking up and up in KC so lets weird!

Here some banter that has gone over the last couple days with all the action in KC Sports…

problem is that this has been going on for more than half a season. Look at his 1st half/2nd half splits from last season. It’s depressing. That Roger Dorn fielding last night was the last stray for me.

I’m giving up the Blue Chiefs and Renegades names and going back to Royals. I think this team has proved themselves on this road trip that they are legit and will be competing for the division. They split series with ATL. (they were hottest team and on a 10 game win streak) they won the series against Red Sox, (who were on a 7 game winning streak, were united by bombing, and had one the best records in AL too) and split series with Deeeriot against their best pitcher. Coming out of that road trip at 4-3 is very impressive! What else do we need to see to believe??? Royals have got to be back!!!

Only knock on Fisher is that he didn’t play in a real conference but if you look at Central Michigan’s schedule, Fisher played against a buttload of BCS teams especially Big 10 teams. He played well in those too according to reports.

During the draft last night, someone brought up that dooshie Kietzman (he fuckin wanted Geno Smith who didn’t get drafted bwwwahhh) said no team that drafted a #1 overall tackle has done well. Fuck that stat, look at last year’s Super Bowl teams and see where their left tackles were drafted…

Lets fucking hope Fisher is the next “The Joe Show” Staley

Someone asked at a bar who do you have more disdain for Lin Elliot or Scott Pioli (I think we all know LERFs answer)? I’m biased, but I was at the Chiefs/Colts game in 95 and is one of the worst nights of my life. I can still see my old man slamming his John Daniels yelling “God fuckin damn these Chiefs” as time expired. After that I watched Colts fans run to their cars as Chiefs threw haymakers and chased them out. That was Chiefs Super Bowl year and Lin Elliot blew it with his horrible kicking display. So obviously I think Elliot fucked the Chiefs more, but the 2 other dudes I was with at the bar said not even close, they said Pioli. I see why people think that after all the horror stories the media told us about Pioli, but I believe majority of Chiefs fans have been warped by Chiefs media and believe Pioli is way worse then what he was.

Why isn’t the media hard on Dayton Moore? Moore is in his 8th year and has a losing record every year. Baseball has been over in May every year under Dayton Moore. That is similar to Chiefs horrific season last year when the season was over in October (stop and think about 7 years of that) Dayton Moore like Scott Pioli has had horrible signings, draft picks, and manager decisions over the last 7 years. Well, where are the fire Dayton Moore airplanes?

In Pioli’s tenure his team won an AFC West Championship and battled for another AFC West title till the end of the year keeping the fans excited and that was after massive injuries to team (Charles, Berry, Moeaki, Cassel). Yes Pioli had 2 total crap seasons, but 1 season was his first year and was a clean house season. The other shit season was totally Pioli’s fault for hiring Romeo. Pioli gave into his players after the Green Bay win and decided to keep Romeo (He should have brought Weis back as head coach). Pioli truly had only 1 totally fucked year in his 4 year reign.

I don’t want to hear its easier in football then baseball because we all know it is, but that does not make it impossible to turn a team around to .500 record in 8 years . Why can small market teams in the last decade such as Rays, As, Marlins, Padres, Rockies, Orioles, Reds, Brewers make it to the playoffs/World Series in less then a few years? So don’t say it can’t be done. The only difference between managers is we know foo shoo Dayton can only play with so much of Glasses money. Well, supposedly Pioli was on the same leash. According to KCShip inside sources it was the same with Pioli. Maybe Pioli should have made that public, but then no owner would ever give him a NFL job again. In the MLB, you can blame money and in the NFL you can’t.

I’m not trying to be a Pioli apologist or Dayton Hater, but I am just trying to point out how human opinion can be swayed. KC sports media decides who gets a long leash in this town and who doesn’t. Candy wrapper stories decide who is a villain and who isn’t. If Dayton doesn’t win this year get ready for a candy wrapper conspiracy story. Unfortunately I am a KChomer to both teams so I love all owners (except Glass) coaches, QBs, pitchers, kickers (except Lin Elliot) etc. unconditionally so I can’t ever be swayed. Hahaha!

Life actually moves so damn fast with jobs and kids this website can no longer maintain itself. It was fun while it lasted and we thank everyone for partying on it. All we ask is that everyone in KC keeps Rocking and Rolling!

KU-Chiefs fans shit their pants yesterday when their worst nightmare came true. Chiefs signed their backup QB, Chase Daniel. Chase Daniel is the Mizzou QB who beat the piss out of the #1 Jayhawks in the country at Camerohead for the Armageddon game. KU-Chiefs fans will hate having to route for Chase if he ever gets into a Chiefs game.

The Chiefs also yesterday signed DE DeVito and TE Fasano. The Chiefs have a speedy WR Donnie Avery coming to KC today. If they sign Avery that will leave holes in the LB and CB positions. Pretty much all other holes have been filled for this Chiefs team. The best part about all their signings is its dudes in their mid-late 20s, productive players in their positions, and they are mid range priced players. On paper this seems to be a good philosophy that could help the Chiefs right away next year and the next few years.

Chiefs signed Atlanta Falcons free agent corner-back Dunta Robinson. No one knows if Robinson will be the #2 corner opposite side of Brandon Flowers or if he’ll be a nickel or safety addition. Either way, it’s an upgrade for this Chiefs team from what they had.

The Chiefs are now rumored to be resigning Glenn Dorsey. How does everyone feel about that? The radio talking heads and tweet dudes all bash Tyson Jackson’s restructured contract to no end. Well if that’s bad, then resigning Dorsey would be catastrophic. Dorsey has worse stats over his NFL career then Jackson. Jackson already has more sacks and will have more tackles then Dorsey after next year since he has one less year in the NFL then Dorsey. Does Dorsey get a pass because he was picked at #5 not #3 like Jackson, he’s a Herm guy, and he is technically out of position since he was drafted for a 4-3? Is Jackson ripped to no end because he is a Pioli guy picked at #3 overall and hasn’t met his expectations? Either way John Dorsey might have both of them stick around for next year. What do these general managers and scouts see in these guys that the average Chiefs fan doesn’t?

Well, all three of the KC area major college basketball programs screwed the pooch this weekend. KU blew it against Baylor, not making them the out right Big 12 champs and maybe costing them a #1 spot in the Big Dance. Mizzou shit the bed on the road again against Tennessee after leading majority of the game and blowing it at the end. Mizzou went from an SEC top dog to the middle of the pack. Kstate had the hardest game out of the colleges, but couldn’t pull it off against Oklahoma State. Kstate got lucky and enjoyed watching KU lose so they are the Big 12 basketball and football champs in the same year. After these losses hopefully all the three colleges will rally in the Big 12 and SEC tournaments. How far each team will go in the conference tournaments is anyone’s guess???

We all remember what happened. He left in the night like an embarrassed sorority girl. He left without saying good bye. He boarded a plane for Fayettville just a few days after he told the media and the Mizzou faithful that he wanted to be a Tiger for the rest of his career. He flirted with leaving before, first for Georgia, then for Oregon. He received raises both times he threatened Mizzou with leaving. He played the system and got paid.

When Mike Anderson came to Columbia from Birmingham, AL, the University of Missouri basketball program was licking it’s wounds from Hurricane Quin. Hurricane Quin, like most hurricanes started off with excitement but ended up destroying foundations built by men before him and roads paved by a winning program. The Mizzou job wasn’t a sexy job by any means when Anderson signed his name on the dotted line. Mizzou suffered self-imposed penalties after the NCAA alleged them of running a dirty program. They weren’t allowed to leave the state to recruit and they lost a scholarship. That doesn’t include all the nation-wide embarrassment that this fiasco (a.k.a. Ricky Clemons) created. Mike Anderson gladly walked into a storm made entirely of fecal matter in hopes of turning it around. He sat down in the chair Quin Snyder once owned, behind the desk Quin probably snorted snow off of and now he had clean up the mess Quin Snyder made.

Mike Anderson cleaned up a program full of thugs. We all remember Club Athena. Mike Anderson suspended everyone who was involved in the Club Athena situation. It didn’t matter if you threw (and received) a punch like Stephan Hannah (Mizzou’s leading scorer, starting point guard and best player), tried to diffuse the situation like Jason Horton or if you were the rap artist that invited the team to the club like Leo Lyons. Everyone that was at the club was suspended and didn’t travel to Lincoln. The result: Mizzou took 6 players to Lincoln and got beat by a horrific Nebraska Cornhuskers team coached by, what the media calls the greatest X’s and O’s coach since Coach Norman Dale, Doc Sadler. He sacrificed a winnable game (on the road, mind you, a place where Anderson continues to struggle) to show his players and prospective players what type of program he intended to run. It was going to be a clean program full of men, not boys.

It wasn’t easy for Anderson. He had 2 lack luster years of weeding out Quin’s players. Mizzou fans grew weary of the future with Anderson at the helm. Then 2008 came. In 2008 he brought in his first full recruiting class and had a team full of HIS players. Kim English, Marcus Denmon, Steve Moore and Laurence Bowers were part of a new generation of Mizzou basketball. In 2008 Mizzou went to the Elite 8. It took Anderson 2 full years to clean up the mess Quin made. Mizzou basketball was re-built after Hurricane Quin came roaring through Columbia. Anderson brought in a 4 star recruit (Phil Pressey) and a 5 star recruit (Tony Mitchell). Things were looking up and Mizzou was consistently going to the NCAA tournament.

Now, it’s not like Mizzou went from UMKC to kU in 2 years, but Mizzou was consistently ranked in the top 25 and a consistent tournament team from 2008 to the present date. Going from where they were after Quin to where they are now with Frank Haith is because of one man: Mike Anderson.

Although Mike Anderson re-built Mizzou, he’s a dirty little liar and a coward. He held Mike Alden (Mizzou’s AD) hostage after 2008 and 2009 so he could get paid. Alden would have been public enemy number #1 if he let Anderson go and not offer him an extension and a raise. Mizzou fans loved Mike Anderson in 2008 and 2009 and letting him go would have been a deep wound that Alden may have not recovered from.  Alden had to ink Anderson after each flirtation.

The real kick to the jewels was in 2010-2011. The writing was on the wall in Fayettville. John Pelphrey was going to be fired after a dismal year in 2010 and Mike Anderson knew it and probably talked to some insiders that told him he would be the #1 candidate. So, my guess is, he knew he was gone and mailed in the last month of the season. Hence, losing 6 of our last 7 games that year, limping into the NCAA Tournament and getting absolutely dominated by Cincinnati. His little talk about “I want to retire here” was simply to tell Arkansas that if you want me, you’ll have to pay me to leave.

We all know how the story went from there. Ol’ Backdoor Mike Anderson left the Mizzou Arena without saying good bye to fans. His players were told but it was a brief meeting and, judging by Kim English’s tweets during the Arkansas game (Well, the ones that were retweeted…Kim English blocked me because I corrected his English), I assume his players didn’t appreciate him leaving or the way he left and it’s left a sour taste in their mouths.

So that’s both sides of the Mike Anderson story. Here’s the verdict from this judge and jury. Mike Anderson can go piss up a rope. Frank Haith is not only a better coach, but he’s also a much better recruiter and has assembled a much better staff. Just look at how Haith’s staff was poached after last season. I will take Frank Haith over Mike Anderson any day. I guess the only thing left to do as Mizzou fans is to say thank you, Mike Anderson. Thank you for helping us climb out of the gutter, thank you for helping to make Mizzou basketball relevant again and thank you Mike Anderson for leaving.

What’s the dealeo with Cassel? Winston, Boss, Hillis, and Quinn are all gone.com and Tyson’s contract has been restructured. Is Cassel working with the Chiefs to restructure his contract so he can be the backup? If not, Cassel should be gone any day now, maybe this weekend. Hurry the fuck up Chiefs! We want to find out if yall will be shopping for free agent quarterbacks.
