Conference Switch-A-Roo

If you haven’t heard yet, Tulane and East Carolina are moving from Conference USA to the Big East Conference. Big East looks to be dead man walking judging from the teams they are having to bring in to fill their conference spots. This move comes after Maryland and Rutgers moved from the ACC and Big East to the Big 10. All these moves once again open the door for more teams to sneak into bed with other conferences. Big 10 making these moves could lead to another push for the 4 super-conferences. Big 12 fans, should yall make some moves to ensure yall are a power coference or sit put and see what happens?

Beyond Embarrassment

If you thought the Chiefs are the most horrific thing you’d seen well then you haven’t taken a look at the University of Kansas football program lately.  If there is a KU Jayhawk football fan out there, you have been through more misery than any team I can remember for some time.  Luckily there’s hardly any KU football fans so not many are suffering in the Larrytown and the KC area.  If KU doesn’t win the game this Saturday, this will be 2 years in a row KU hasn’t won a game in the Big 12.  Since 2009 here is KU’s Big 12 record…
2009- 1-7
2010- 1-7 (3-9 overall)
2011- 0-9 (2-10 overall)
2012- 0-8 (1-10 overall)
Total 2-31 with a 20 game Big 12 losing streak still going

Dear KcMothership

November 10th was a rough day for this guy. I walked out of Bryant Denny Stadium with my head down and apologizing to my soon to be in-laws for acting like an idiot and trying to fight the old man 3 rows in front of me. We had gotten beat, straight up. Although we played like shit for the second week in a row, any time a team comes into Bryant Denny, hits us in the mouth, puts up 20 pts before we even blink an eye…deserves to win.

As I walked around my house that Sunday I tried to focus on other things…hunting, hanging myself…whatever to get my mind off of the game. (Thank god I forgot to record it before I left). As for Catbacker’s post and Cheeeeeeese calling me out, I just didn’t have the heart to respond on Monday.

CBE Classic Is Back

The Kansas Jayhawks play against Wahington State and hopefully they can bring back winning to the KC metro area after all 3 college schools lost in football on Saturday and Chiefs lost Sunday. Luckily some of us have the Irish to be thankful for…

The Kansas Basketball Roster is Getting Out of Control

Simply put, I’ve seen Bill Self maintain and build a very successful Kansas program through recruiting and coaching. But, he’s even outdone himself with these 2012 signees. The Kansas Jayhawks are taking on power house Michigan State tonight in the Georgia Dome.  Jayhawkers how do you think the basketball team will do against a good team like the Spartans tonight?  The predictions coming in say that the Jayhawks should take care of business tonight.  Either way props to KU on not wasting any time with little doggies and get after the other big boys right way.

Purple Jayhawks

On Saturday night I was chugging suds at a KU house party. While talking football with the KU crew, I noticed the Jayhawk fans had dropped their Big 12, 19 game losing streak football team for the Purple Cats team. I thought maybe it was only these level headed Jayhawk fans, but today on the radio KU fan Bob Fescoe said he’s adopting the Wildcats football team too. So Jayhawks fans is this true, are you all now Wildcat fans? Wildcat fans do you accept the turncoat Jayhawk fans? What does this do to yall’s rivalry? Is this a one time alliance for the good of Kansas and Kansas City region? Is the rivalry only good for basketball now? Lets not leave out Mizzou fans, now that your in the SEC and no longer rivals with Kstate, can you wear purple glasses and cheer for the Wildcats? Lets hear it everybody….

When the Chiefs schedule came out this year, everyone was geeked up for a Monday Night game against Steelers and Coach Todd. I was going to travel for the game to rock it with an old college bud, but Chiefs are so fucking god awful, I canceled my trip. After this weeks spectacles out at Arrowhead, there is nothing more to say other than…Harry pass the John Daniels, drown our Chiefs sorrows, and get ready for some MU, ND, Kstate football plus the start of the MU/KU basketball seasons. I hope your happy Chiefs, one of your most die hard fans doesn’t want shit to do with you right now.
