Is Mike Anderson a Villain or a Savior? A Tigers Fan’s Take

We all remember what happened. He left in the night like an embarrassed sorority girl. He left without saying good bye. He boarded a plane for Fayettville just a few days after he told the media and the Mizzou faithful that he wanted to be a Tiger for the rest of his career. He flirted with leaving before, first for Georgia, then for Oregon. He received raises both times he threatened Mizzou with leaving. He played the system and got paid.

Royals Announce New Slogan?

This has to be fake. No one in their right mind would have a slogan like this. Not even the lowly Royals, but according to The Royals Review, the Kansas City Royals have announced their 2013 slogan. The 2013 slogan for our Kansas City Royals is “This year, we’re trying to win.”

I will let that set in…

Source tells Nick Wright that Pioli and Crennel won’t be back for 2013

Nick Wright, former KC radio host, tweeted out that a reliable source has told him that Pioli and Crennel have been told they won’t return next year. For most sane Chiefs fans, this is exactly the type of news they want to hear.

Nick Wright has generally been on target for things like this. He has a very reliable source in the Chiefs front office. I think it’s fair to say that the Pioli and Crennel era is close to ending.

Fingers crossed….

Jayhawks to feast on Buffalo meat

Can someone explain to me why kU will play Colorado, but they won’t play Mizzou. Colorado left the Big 12 before Mizzou did. All you kU fans, do you feel like Colorado is a turncoat just like Mizzou? If not, what’s the difference? Is it because Colorado legalized it and Lawrence needs a shipment? I’m very confused about this, please clear this up.

Is Mike Gundy the next coach at Arkansas?

untitled

He’s got an offer in front of him and he has until Wednesday to decide. Some people are tweeting that their sources told them that he’s already accepted the job. There’s nothing official yet, but if it’s true this is not good for Mizzou fans. Their arch rival just picked up a stud coach. I’m not sure why he would leave his alma mater or why he’d leave the Big 12.
It may have something to do with tons of money, stability or wanting to compete against the best.

I will update this as this story unfolds…

UPDATE: No, no he’s not. Bret Bielema is.

“She told Dixon she would never get an abortion, and she stated Dixon told her that if he found out she was pregnant he would `kick her in the stomach and push her down the stairs,’ ” the report said. She “stated Dixon was laughing as he was saying this and did not think anything was a big deal.”

It’s the Thuggish Ruggish TRob

We all knew that former Jayhawk Thomas Robinson would fit in nicely in the NBA. Robinson, known by most Jayhawk fans as TRob or Thomas, has the measurables, the talent and the personality to be a major success in the NBA.

BREAKING NEWS: Ervin Santana to the Royals?

Ervin Santana is rumoured to be on his way to Kansas City through a trade with the LA Angels. Fantastic move by the Royals if it’s true. If I were Santana, I would be furious right now and hoping it’s false. More details to follow…

Just Wait ‘Til Basketball Season…

Just Wait ‘til Basketball Season…

It’s a saying the most Mizzou fans hated hearing up until this year. Now, they are whispering it to each other and openly praying for the 2012-2013 season to start. After finishing the year 30-5 and putting a Big 12 Tournament trophy in their trophy case, before leaving the Big 12 and ultimately blowing a perfect opportunity at a Final 4. The Mizzou Tigers are ready to begin a new era in the SEC.

Missouri Picks Up J3

Breaking News: According to powermizzou.com and Jonathan Williams III himself, J3 will be attending the University of Missouri. He chose Mizzou over Michigan State and Georgetown. The 6’9″ 210 lbs. J3 is from Memphis, Tennessee and is ranked #48 nationally. J3 is a 4 star recruit. This is Frank Haith’s second 4 star recruit as he added PG Wesley Clarke earlier in the year (ranked 69th nationally). Haith’s first recruiting class, 2012, was a pretty solid group. However, the 2013 recruiting class is looking even better and he’s not done yet. Haith out-recruited John Thompson III and Tom Izzo to get J3. This is a good sign for Mizzou hoops and great news for a fan base that could use some positives in their lives.

A Major ‘Private Gift’ Will be Announced Tomorrow

Gabe DeArmond of powermizzou.com just tweeted a few moments ago that the University of Missouri athletics will receive a ‘major private gift.’ A press conference will be held tomorrow at 4 pm to announce the gift.

Also in Mizzou news, Mizzou AD Mike Alden will outline the Memorial Stadium renovations tomorrow before the Board of Curator’s meeting tomorrow. The renovation financing approval is on the docket for the BOC meeting.

Maybe that major gift is some nudie pics of January Jones from Jon Hamm. One can only hope…
