25 Man Roster Set – Coleman to begin in Omaha

Louis Coleman will start the season in AAA Omaha after a shaky spring training.  This is too bad b/c the kid was lights out last year in the Majors as a rookie.  Herrera is going to take his spot but I would guess it won’t be long before Louis is back on the club.  Kansascity.com has a nice article about the rest of the 25 man roster.  We’ll start the season with 12 pitchers and 13 position players.  The pitchers are evenly split between lefty and righty including the guys in the pen and the starting five.  Looks like Yost wanted some options.

Speaking of Coleman…..he bears quite a resemblance to one of our distinguished KCMS bloggers :)

Foregone Conclusion

ku_bkc_vcu_nk_22_t600x384

Not being a hater, but come on.  We all know that KU did a great job getting to final 4, but be serious… They have 0 chance of winning this game. In fact, I “Men’s Wearhouse” they lose by 10+.  Enjoy your weekend Jayhawks!

Royals Schedule = Primetime

Taking a quick look at the upcoming    2012 I was shocked by the number of    primetime games (8) the networks are offering our Boys in Blue!  Fox is the number one contributor and I’m sure that has to do with the fact that our TV contract with Fox Sports is a direct relation to the parent company.  Hosting the All-Star game probably plays into this as well since MLB wants to showcase the team that will have all eyes watching during the Mid-Summer Classic. Rotation Set

With Paulino headed to the DL, the decision on who will round out the rotation was a very easy one to make.  I for one am not overly confident with the starting five taking the mound of the 2012 club.
